How to Help YOUR Child or Teenager Overcome Their Weight Problem
ONCE and FOR ALL

To Be A Champion LLC Offers Schools and Parents Help in Solving the Problem of Overweight and Obese Children and Teens.

Fitmoves burns fat and increase Physical Activity in students.

Educating our youth about health and fitness never has been more challenging.

  • They are bombarded by inaccurate or false messages in the media about fitness, wellness and personal health.
  • School districts are cutting physical education or have no requirement.
  • Because 64% of adults are identified as either obese or overweight children and teenagers lack role models and advocates for a healthy active lifestyle.
  •  In addition, physical activity decreases between each grade level with high school seniors being the least active.

Experts recommend that children require 60 minutes of exercise spread throughout the entire day and The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends daily physical education for all children in kindergarten through grade 12 as well as comprehensive health education in each grade. One way to meet this recommendation is to use Fitmoves for 12-15-30-45 or 60 minutes most days of the week.

Fitmoves is a fun safe program involving very little equipment that can be down at home or at school.   Students simply follow along with the video-tape/DVD at home.  Overtime students can create their own Fitmoves circuits.  Based on the concept of functional training and the 4 pillars of human movement, this unique program combines cardio with resistance training.  Individuals that use Fitmoves burn fat, become stronger and leaner, report lower cholesterol and blood pressure, increased stamina, and gain the ability to move more effectively and efficiently.

Schools, families, business, government, health care providers, and the media must work together to reverse this epidemic.  For now call To Be A Champion, LLC 207.934.0555 to learn how Fitmoves can help your son or daughter reduce weight in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.  Sessions for small groups are forming now.

According to an article in the Portland Press Herald on Monday Aug 28, 2006

Thirty percent of Maine children ages 10 to 17 are considered overweight or obese, the highest rate in New England.

Longitudinal studies have found the earlier the age that a child becomes obese the more obese that child will become. If the obesity is allowed to continue into adulthood the likelihood that the individual will face an increased morbidity and mortality rate is very high. NOW is the time to help them solve.
